1. Our role
RUO Pro is a business-to-business platform. Our direct customers are the brands and operators who use it to run their stores. When a brand uses RUO Pro to operate its own storefront, that brand is the controller of its shoppers’ data and RUO Pro acts as its processor — we handle that data on the brand’s behalf and under its instructions. This Policy describes our own practices as the platform operator.
2. Information We Collect
- Information you provide: name, work email, company, account credentials, the details you submit to request access, book a demo, or create a store, and communications with us.
- Store and operational data: catalog, orders, customer, and content records a brand manages inside its own workspace.
- Payment information: subscription and fee payments are processed by our third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
- Automatic data: device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and usage, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from partners: hosting, analytics, advertising, and fraud-prevention providers.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, secure, and improve the platform and website; set up accounts and process signups; provide support; measure and understand usage; prevent fraud and enforce our Terms; communicate with you; comply with law; and, where permitted, send marketing you can opt out of.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. To the extent “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising occurs, you may opt out as described below.
- Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, email/SMS delivery, analytics, advertising, customer support), bound to protect the information;
- A brand’s own configured destinations (for example an analytics or advertising destination a brand connects to its store), subject to consent and the brand’s instructions;
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect rights, safety, and property;
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy;
- With your direction or consent.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser and, where offered, our cookie banner; non-essential tracking runs only after you consent where consent is required, and you can decline without losing the core service. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required.
6. Separation of business and clinical data
RUO Pro operates the business side of a brand — storefront, catalog, orders, payments, and marketing — and keeps that business data separated from clinical or health systems. It is not a system of record for protected health information.
7. Data Retention
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping requirements, and to resolve disputes, then delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, data isolation per brand, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of other states with privacy laws), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” of your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To exercise rights, contact privacy@ruopro.com; we will verify your request as required by law, and if your data is managed by a brand as controller we will refer the request to that brand or act on its instructions. You may use an authorized agent.
10. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of any cross-context behavioral advertising “sharing,” use our cookie controls, enable GPC, or contact privacy@ruopro.com.
11. Children
RUO Pro is a business tool intended for use by adults operating a business. It is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. International Users
We operate in the United States; if you access the platform from elsewhere, you consent to processing in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws.
13. Changes; Contact
We may update this Policy; changes are effective when posted with a new “Last updated” date. Questions or requests: privacy@ruopro.com, or Research Pro, LLC, 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801.
